Enjoy a coffee on the banks of the Walnut Street Bridge or a great dinner in one of the many unusual trendy restaurants. You will stay in the historic Chou Chou Hotel (subject to availability), the former dead-end station of Chattanooga, which has been lovingly converted into a hotel. The wagons, which are over a hundred years old, exude a truly indescribable flair inside and out. You can spend the evening in one of the rustic pubs in the center. Overnight in Chattanooga.

Day 3 – Chattanooga – Nashville (135 miles/225 km)
Today you will drive to one of the most famous music metropolises in the USA, Nashville! But before that, make a detour to Lynchburg to Jack Daniels. The guided tour of the site, where all global production comes from to this day, is free of charge. Nashville, the vibrant city will captivate you with jazz and blues! You should save the 'tasting' for the evening when you arrive in what is probably the liveliest city in America.

Day 4 – Nashville
Visit the famous Johnny Cash Museum and the Country Music Hall of Fame today. On the entertainment mile, the 'Broadway', practically every house is a music pub and on every stage there is live music of various musical styles. Our tip for dinner: Jack's Barbeque.

Day 5 – Nashville – Memphis (212 miles/340 km)
From one highlight to the next – the three hundred and fifty kilometers to Memphis are best interrupted with a nice Southern lunch near Jackson, at Brooks Shaw's Old Country Store. After that, it's worth leaving the interstate in Brownsville, where a small but fine Tina Turner Museum awaits you. Then we head straight towards Memphis. You can visit Sun Records, the music publisher where Elvis Presley's indescribable career began. After a ten-minute drive, we continue to Graceland, the stately home that the King of Rock'n Roll bought in 1957 and where he died twenty years later. It exudes an incredible atmosphere, and afterwards we can visit the King's Carshow Museum, where of course his Harleys are also located. Here you can also get the best and cheesiest Elvis icons from all over America in a huge merchandise store. But don't expect empty paths or parking spaces – around 650,000 visitors sail through Graceland every year. In the evening you can stroll on the entertainment mile Beale Street!

Day 6 – Memphis – St. Louis (283 miles/455 km)
We continue to the pioneer city of St. Louis, the 'Gateway to the West': The city's landmark is the more than 190m high steel arch Gateway Arch. If you like, you can go up to the top of the nation's tallest monument.
In the evening, be sure to take part in the Budweiser Tour and then eat there in the beer garden!

Day 7 – St. Louis – Chicago (297 miles/475 km)
You leave St. Louis and head towards Route 66! The following towns on Route 66 are too many to stop everywhere. But in Ariston, at the Paris Stop Café and before that at the largest rocking chair in the world, it's definitely worth it. Via Springfield you drive to Chicago. Welcome to the 'Windy City', as Chicago is also called.
