Guided tour including scheduled flight with renowned airline
Southwest Tour
13 days – guided tour
Day 1 – Flight to Las Vegas
Flight with a reputable scheduled airline from your chosen departure point to Las Vegas (connecting flights possible). Upon arrival in Las Vegas, you will be met by your guide and transferred to a well-located mid-range hotel. The rest of the evening is at your leisure. Overnight in Las Vegas.
Day 2 – Las Vegas
The morning is at your leisure to explore Las Vegas on your own. Visit the numerous hotel attractions, go shopping, or take a trip to the observation deck of the 350-meter-high Stratosphere Tower for a panoramic view of the city. Your guide will be happy to assist you. After the initial briefing in the early afternoon, you will pick up your motorcycles from our local Harley-Davidson® rental partner. Take the opportunity to take a short ride to visit one of the largest Harley-Davidson® dealerships in the USA, where you'll have plenty of time for shopping.
OUR TIP: Get married in Las Vegas! Whether it's for the first time or renewing your vows, just ask us!
Day 03 – Hoover Dam – Eldorado Gold Mine – Laughlin 255 km
Your Harley tour through the Old West begins early in the morning. All the luggage you need for the tour will be packed into the accompanying van, and you can leave any excess gear at the hotel. If you wish, you can stop briefly in the morning at a neutral motorcycle clothing store to stock up on equipment and any missing materials. Afterwards, you'll head off toward Arizona. After a short ride, you'll reach the Hoover Dam, and after a short walk, you'll reach the new Colorado Bridge, from which you'll have a phenomenal view of the dam. On the way back, you'll visit the Lake Mead Viewpoint and pass through the historic town of Boulder. After stocking up on sandwiches for lunch, you'll descend into Eldorado Canyon, where you'll have the opportunity to visit an old gold mine. This location has been the setting for many well-known movies and commercials (e.g., "3000 Miles to Graceland" or "Breakdown" with Kevin Costner and Kurt Russell). In the afternoon, you'll reach the gambling paradise of Laughlin, the final destination of today's leg, where you can refresh yourself in the hotel pool. Welcome dinner and overnight stay in Laughlin.
OUR TIP: Hold on to your wallet in the casino!
Day 04 – Route 66 – Oatman – Williams 310 km
In the morning, you'll leave Nevada for Route 66 and the state of Arizona. Along the way, you'll see several small western towns, such as Oatman, a regular stop for many Harley riders. It also commemorates the first settlers and miners in the West. Wild donkeys and true cowboys await your visit. The Route 66 Museum in Kingman is also on your route, as is the historic General Store in Hackberry. You'll cross the Hualapai Indian Reservation and catch your first glimpse of the western rim of the Grand Canyon. In the small town of Seligman, you'll visit Angel Delgadillo, arguably the world's most famous barber. He is one of the co-founders of the Route 66 Association and is considered the father of today's Route 66. The end point of your today's stage is the town of Williams, which still retains much of the "Good Old West" with its historic houses and the old entertainment district, right on the Mother Road. You will spend the night almost directly on Route 66, and in the evening you will have the opportunity to enjoy a fantastic steak or rib dinner.
Day 05 – Grand Canyon – Cameron Trading Post – Navajo Country 300 km
In the morning, you'll start your day's tour from Williams, to one of the Seven Wonders of the World. There, you'll first have the opportunity to take a nearly one-hour helicopter flight over the breathtaking Grand Canyon. Afterwards, you'll follow the scenic route along the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Along the way, you'll make interesting stops such as Duck Rock, Grand View, Lipan Point, and Desert View with its Native American watchtower. Your later lunch stop will be at the old trading post in Cameron, located in the heart of the Navajo Reservation.
OUR TIP: Cameron Trading Post – highly recommended for Native American jewelry and souvenirs! Today we'll spend the night in a simple lodge in Marble Canyon.
Day 06 – Antelope Canyon – Lake Powell – Monument Valley – Goosenecks 345 km
The first highlight is on the agenda in the morning. After an early start, you have the opportunity to visit the world-famous Antelope Canyon on a strictly limited tour with the Navajo Indians. In the late morning, you continue to Kayenta, where you take a later lunch break. In the afternoon, you will travel to another tour highlight. After leaving the town of Kayenta behind you, you will reach Monument Valley. Monument Valley is one of the few parks that is not located on a reservation; the Navajo Indians have the lucrative say here. There, you have the opportunity to take another exclusive tour of the valley with the Navajos in their four-wheel drive vehicles. In the late afternoon, you will reach Mexican Hat, which lies directly on the San Juan River. As you drive past, you will see the rock formation from which this place gets its name. You will visit the unique Goosenecks State Park before traveling through the Valley of Gods to reach your overnight accommodation in the Bluff area.
Day 07 – Natural Bridges Nat. Monument – Capitol Reef National Park 340 km
This morning, the first stop is the natural bridge formations of Natural Bridges National Monument, before you return to the Colorado River at Glen Canyon. The river is spanned here by an interesting steel arch bridge, which also marks the beginning of Lake Powell. Following a truly unique route through canyons and gorges, you'll reach Capitol Reef National Park in the afternoon. This park is known for its unique rock formations, waterfalls, and Native American petroglyphs. Overnight in Torrey.
Day 08 – Grand Escalante – Bryce Canyon National Park 250 km
This morning, you'll travel along a scenic road almost 3,000 m high toward the Grand Escalante Staircase. After crossing the Wild Boar's Neck, it's time to "Take a deep breath." That's the motto on the Million Dollar Road, and you'll understand why during your stop. You'll reach the small town of Bryce just in time for lunch. In the afternoon, the tour continues to Bryce Canyon National Park. This is known for its unique red sandstone formations, which glow in golden and red colors, like fire, especially at sunrise and sunset. Your guide will lead you through the park, and in the afternoon, you'll have plenty of time to explore on your own. Of course, you also have the option of taking an easy hike, an ATV tour, or a horseback riding excursion. You'll spend the night near Bryce Canyon.
Day 09 – Zion National Park – Cedar Breaks Nat. Monument 300 km
Today you'll set off for another highlight, Zion National Park. Depending on the weather, you'll visit the east or west side of the park. If you're able to take the western route, you'll also visit Cedar Breaks National Monument (weather permitting). The journey continues via Hurricane and, near St. George, through Snow Canyon State Park. Along the way, you'll briefly cross Arizona again and stop at a Joshua tree forest in the middle of the Mojave Desert. In the afternoon, you'll reach Mesquite, Nevada, a gambling town and oasis in the middle of the desert. Spend the night in the Mesquite area.
Day 10 – Valley of Fire – Lake Mead – Las Vegas 240 km
Today, unfortunately, marks the last day of your exciting motorcycle tour. You'll leave Mesquite and ride along Lake Mead, the largest man-made reservoir in the USA. Along the way, you'll make a detour to Valley of Fire State Park, known, among other things, for its Anasazi (the Ancients) Indian petroglyphs, some of which are up to 4,000 years old. This park was used as a film set for "Star Wars" and various car commercials. You'll continue along Lake Mead Lake Shore Drive toward the tour's final destination, Sin City: Las Vegas. In the afternoon, you'll return your motorcycles and transfer to your tour hotel, which you've already met on your arrival. Overnight stay in Las Vegas.
OUR TIP: If you like, you can end the day with a cozy dinner together and then, like the movie stars, be chauffeured along the Strip and into Old Town Las Vegas on an optional stretch limousine tour.
Day 11 – Las Vegas
Today you have the day at your leisure in Las Vegas. Your guide will be happy to assist you with booking show tickets, helicopter rides, and any other attractions. An optional, inexpensive shopping shuttle to an outlet mall is available. For those who aren't satisfied, you can extend your Harley rental by a day, for example, to take a self-guided day trip to Death Valley or Red Rock State Park and Mount Charleston. Overnight in Las Vegas.
Day 12 – Flight home to Europe
During the morning, you'll be transferred to Las Vegas Airport. Your return flight with a reputable scheduled airline (connecting flights possible) will take you back to your chosen departure airport.
Day 13 – Arrival in Europe
Arrival at your chosen departure point in the morning and end of the trip.
