WILD WEST FEELING
9-day tour from Las Vegas to Los Angeles
Our compact guided tour with a German-speaking guide will take you through Western California. Our guide will take you to the most beautiful spots on the way to Las Vegas. We'll cross the desert areas of Joshua Tree National Park, and you'll experience the magnificent sights of the Grand Canyon, combined with fascinating cities like Los Angeles and Las Vegas on your EagleRider Big Twin Harley.
1. Tag – Las Vegas
Arrive at Las Vegas Airport and travel to your hotel. At 4:00 PM, the Eagle Rider team will welcome you at a reception and provide you with comprehensive information about the upcoming tour. In the evening, you'll get to know all the tour participants and your guides over a shared meal before the adventure begins the next day.
Day 2 – Las Vegas – Mammoth Lakes (approx. 504 km)
Today's exciting route takes you through the infamous Death Valley, one of the hottest regions in the USA, to Mammoth Lakes. Tight switchbacks wind your way down almost 1,000 meters into the impressive desert valley, whose lowest point is 85 meters below sea level. The barren landscape, with its limestone and sand dunes and dried-up, shimmering white salt lakes, offers an impressive sight and will captivate you.
Day 3 – Mammoth Lakes – Yosemite (approx. 240 km)
Today, enjoy the drive over California's highest mountain pass, the Tioga Pass (may be closed seasonally), which takes you into the famous Yosemite National Park. Imposing mountains, giant sequoias, clear lakes, waterfalls, and a rich flora and fauna make this tour a truly special experience.
Day 4 – Yosemite – San Francisco (approx. 320 km)
After leaving Yosemite National Park, you'll drive through California's "Gold Rush" country. You'll pass small mining towns and the winding roads of Old Priest Grade. Then, visit the coastal region of Marin County, which offers a glimpse into the Californian lifestyle: ostentatious luxury and abundant natural beauty, with sunshine, sandy beaches, mountains, and redwood forests. After crossing San Francisco's iconic Golden Gate Bridge, you'll drive along the marina to Fisherman's Wharf, near which you'll spend the next two nights.
Day 5 – San Francisco
The day is at your leisure, so you can explore this legendary metropolis at your leisure. Take a cable car ride, visit the infamous Alcatraz prison (included), stroll along Pier 39 with its many shops and restaurants, or take a boat tour through the bay. The tight curves of Lombard Street, the famous 'streets of San Francisco,' and the hilly surrounding countryside offer absolute driving pleasure.
Day 6 – San Francisco – Monterey (approx. 189 km)
Leave San Francisco via Skyline Boulevard and drive along the legendary Highway 1, winding along the coastal road to Monterey. Enjoy the maritime atmosphere and visit the famous Cannery Row and the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Day 7 – Monterey – Pismo Beach (approx. 243 km)
Big Sur, one of the world's most beautiful stretches of coastline, is waiting to be discovered. Experience rugged cliffs, untouched nature, and breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean along winding roads. With a little luck, you might even spot passing whales and rare elephant seals.
Day 8 – Pismo Beach – Los Angeles (approx. 360 km)
Today, you'll take Highway 101 and head toward Los Angeles. The Pacific Ocean is to your right, and the coastal mountains are to your left. After a coffee break in Santa Barbara, you'll return to the highway and cruise directly to Malibu, the famous beach community home to many celebrities. Santa Monica is the largest and oldest resort in Los Angeles, and nowhere else do LA residents strut their stuff as openly as on the Venice Beach boardwalk. From here, you'll continue to Hawthorne, where EagleRider headquarters is located. After returning your motorcycles, you'll head to the hotel. You can reflect on the trip over dinner together.
