New York State

Motorcycle tour from/to New York Ready for a tour through the heart of American history? This motorcycle tour takes you right into the land of the Rockefellers – where industrial barons built palaces, where presidents like Roosevelt left their mark, and where winding roads lead through the verdant Hudson Valley and the majestic Adirondack Mountains.

Here, freedom on two wheels combines with grand histories, legendary mansions, and the rugged charm of small towns. New York State reveals itself quite differently away from Manhattan—and that's precisely what makes this tour so special. Let history come alive!

Days 1–2: New York City
You begin your adventure in New York City, the city that never stands still. Whether the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, or Staten Island – each neighborhood has its own character. Stroll through the MoMA, enjoy the view from the Empire State Building, get street food from a food truck, or experience Broadway firsthand. And if you need a moment to breathe fresh air, Central Park, the High Line, or the Botanical Garden offer plenty of green oases of tranquility.

Day 3: New York City – Long Island (approx. 60 km)
Today, it's time to leave the big city and head to the beach! Long Island awaits you with wide sandy beaches, relaxed wineries, and delicious cuisine. The North Shore offers magnificent villas and charming towns, while on the South Shore, you can chill at Jones Beach or watch a race at Belmont Park. Don't miss Montauk with its iconic lighthouse and the chic Hamptons.

Day 4: Long Island
Take your time on Long Island. There's plenty of cultural attractions to discover here: the Maritime Museum, the Cradle of Aviation, and the Long Island Aquarium. And if you like history, Sagamore Hill, Teddy Roosevelt's residence, is definitely worth a visit. Or simply spend the day by the sea, swimming, cruising, and soaking up the sun—the choice is yours.

Day 5: Long Island – Saratoga Springs (approx. 370 km)
You leave the coast and drive via Albany to the elegant spa town of Saratoga Springs. Known for horse racing, hot springs, and summer festivals. Tip: At the National Museum of Racing, you'll learn all about thoroughbreds and jockeys.

Day 6: Saratoga Springs – Lake George (approx. 50 km)
Today you'll cruise into the Adirondacks. Destination: Lake George. The lake is a true gem for nature lovers. The scenery is stunning, the location charming—perfect for a relaxing break with a lake view. Prospect Mountain offers you a magnificent view of the lake and mountains—ideal for a detour by bike.

Day 7: Lake George
Today's itinerary includes a beautiful day trip by motorcycle. Around Lake George, you'll find numerous winding roads, some with views of the water, others through dense forests. Along the way, you can stop off in one of the small towns or treat yourself to an ice cream on the shore. If you like, you can take a leisurely boat ride at sunset in the evening.

Day 8: Lake George – Lake Placid (approx. 130 km)
Next, we head to Lake Placid. Olympic history meets mountain idyll. Paddle on Mirror Lake, stroll through galleries, or visit the Olympic Museum. A true highlight, summer and winter alike.

Day 9: Lake Placid – Oswego (approx. 300 km)
Today we head toward Lake Ontario. Oswego is a small harbor town steeped in history. Visit Fort Ontario or the Marine Museum. With luck, you might even visit the lighthouse off the coast.

Day 10: Oswego – Syracuse (approx. 65 km)
Syracuse rocks! BBQ at Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, art at the Everson Museum, or shopping at the massive Destiny USA Center. The city on Onondaga Lake offers the perfect mix of culture, food, and entertainment.

Day 11: Syracuse – Utica (approx. 90 km)
The journey continues through farmland to Utica. Here, you can enjoy a cold beer at the Saranac Brewery or chug through the wilderness on the Adirondack Scenic Railroad. And for boxing fans, a stop at the Boxing Hall of Fame in Canastota.

Day 12: Utica – Hudson Valley (approx. 280 km)
Last big ride: To the Hudson Valley. Vineyards, riverside charm, and small towns await you. Visit a winery, enjoy the evening in Poughkeepsie, and look forward to the next day full of highlights.

Day 13: Hudson Valley
Today, it's all about culture: a stroll across the Walkway Bridge, Roosevelt National Historic Site, the magnificent Vanderbilt Villa, or a dinner at the Culinary Institute of America. All set against the backdrop of the Hudson River. And all around: fantastic motorcycle routes with views, curves, and moments of enjoyment.

Day 14: Hudson Valley – New York City (approx. 180 km)
