Guided tour including scheduled flight with renowned airline
Daytona Bike Week
12 Days – Florida
Day 1 – Flight to Orlando
Flight with a reputable scheduled airline from your chosen departure airport to Orlando (connecting flights possible). Upon arrival, your guide will be waiting for you at the airport and transferred to a centrally located mid-range hotel. Depending on your arrival time, the first meeting and tour briefing will take place that evening; otherwise, the following morning. Overnight in Orlando.
Day 2 – Citrus Fruit Country – Edison Museum – Fort Myers 290 km
After breakfast, your luggage will be loaded into the support vehicle and transferred to the rental station. Any unneeded luggage can be left at the hotel or the rental station. After completing the formalities and a brief briefing, you will collect your motorcycles and begin your Harley® tour through the Sunshine State of Florida. You will ride through seemingly endless citrus plantations, past Sebring, and all the way to the Gulf Coast. By the afternoon, you will reach the west coast of Florida and the Ft. Myers area. After a brief photo stop at the Thomas A. Edison House, you will arrive at your hotel. You will spend the night in the Ft. Myers/Bonita Springs area.
Day 3 – Everglades – Alligators – Florida Keys 260 km
Today you'll drive past Ft. Myers Beach and across Estero Island before traveling along Highway 41, the Tamiami Trail, through alligator country, and the Everglades. You're sure to see plenty of these impressive animals along the way. You also have the option to take an optional airboat tour through the land of floating grass. The tour continues through Florida's vegetable and fruit garden to your overnight accommodation at the Gateway to the Keys. With a little luck, you'll experience the first beautiful sunset for which this region is known. You'll spend the night in the Florida City area.
Day 4 – Key West – 7-Mile Bridge 220 km
After breakfast, you'll tackle the remaining 42 bridges across the Keys (small islands). Your destination for today is Key West. This means you've truly arrived in the Caribbean. On Little Deer Key, with a bit of luck, you might spot an endemic and very small population of deer. In Key West, we'll stop briefly at the beach, and then you'll have the entire afternoon to explore this small, historic town with its many sights. Overnight in Key West.
OUR EVENING TIP: In the evening, we recommend a two-hour sunset cruise on a large sailing catamaran (beer, wine, and sparkling wine included). The tour takes place on the calm side of the lake, so even those with less seafaring skills will enjoy themselves. Afterwards, we recommend a pub crawl on Duval Street, where you can check out the bar "Sloopy Joe's," once frequented by Hemingway, Hog's Breath, or Captain Tony's Saloon.
Day 5 – Atlantic – Gulf of Mexico – Fort Lauderdale – Sandy Beaches 320 km
First thing in the morning, you'll make a photo stop at the 90-mile marker; from here, it's only about 145 km to Havana, Cuba. The tour then takes you back along Highway 1 through the Keys, where you'll stop for lunch at one of the famous Tiki bars. A connecting leg then follows the Florida Turnpike, where you'll reach your final destination, the exclusive beach resort of Ft. Lauderdale, also known as the Venice of America, in the afternoon. You'll spend the night in a hotel near the beach in the Fort Lauderdale/Deerfield Beach area.
Day 6 – Fort Lauderdale – Shopping and rest day
The day is at your leisure to relax and shop. Overnight in the Fort Lauderdale/Deerfield Beach area.
OUR DAY TIP: An optional half-day tour to Bayside and the Art Deco District of Miami Beach is offered locally.
Day 7 – Palm Beach – Atlantic Coastal Road – Cocoa Beach 280 km
After breakfast, you'll continue your tour north along the coastal highway A1A and US 1. You'll pass the millionaire residential areas of Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach. You'll continue along the astonishingly wild coast to Jupiter and then on to Port Salerno, where you'll spend your lunch break in a pleasant waterfront restaurant. With a bit of luck, you'll spot manatees, the Florida sea cows. In the afternoon, you'll continue along the coastal highway and reach the Melbourne/Cocoa Beach area, where you'll spend the night.
Day 8 – Cape Canaveral – Daytona 140 km
In the morning, you'll leave the Cocoa Beach area and drive to Cape Canaveral. There, you'll have the opportunity to take an optional tour of the Kennedy Space Center (advance booking required). You'll arrive in Daytona Beach in the late afternoon. Your hotel for the next three nights is located near the famous Main Street. The Boot Hill Saloon, the Bank, and Froggies are the popular bars for fun in the evening. You'll also visit the world-famous Harley-Davidson® store near Main Street, where you'll have enough time to purchase your first Bike Week T-shirt.
Overnight in Daytona Beach.
Day 9 – St. Augustine – St. John's River 250 km
In the morning, you'll leave Daytona Beach for a day trip along the scenic coastal highway A1A to St. Augustine. At 500 years old, this is the oldest city in the USA and is also called the Rothenburg of North America. After a short orientation tour, you'll explore the old town on foot. You'll then follow Highways 16 and 13 along the St. John's River. Ancient oak avenues covered in Spanish moss will transport you to the Deep South. In the afternoon, you'll visit Destination Daytona again, the world's largest Harley® shop and its accompanying event grounds. The journey home then continues along Highway US 1, where some of the most famous biker bars, such as the Iron Horse, can be found. Overnight in Daytona Beach.
Day 10 – Daytona Beach Bike Week – day off
Today is your day to explore on your own. Visit Bike Week again or relax on the beach. Many dealerships and attractions are on the agenda, such as the Daytona 500 race track, home to the world's most famous auto race. Main Street, with its already famous Harley-Davidson® store and numerous other attractions, is worth a stop. You'll, of course, have plenty of time to explore in detail. Overnight in Daytona Beach.
Day 11 – Orlando 110 km
This morning, you'll leave Daytona Beach, sure to take home many wonderful Bike Week impressions. You'll ride back toward Orlando on a mix of country roads and interstates. You'll arrive in Orlando in the morning and drop off your bikes at the local rental station. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Use this time to take care of any last-minute errands for those who stayed at home. We offer a shuttle to the Orlando Harley-Davidson® event grounds in the afternoon. You can then round off the evening with a group dinner. Overnight stay in Orlando.
Day 12 – Return flight to Europe
Depending on your departure time, you may still have time to visit one of the many parks. Later in the day, you'll be transferred by shuttle to Orlando Airport. Your return flight with a reputable scheduled airline (connecting flights are possible) will take you back to your chosen departure airport.
Day 13 – Arrival in Europe
Arrival at your departure point in the morning. End of the trip.
