The most important innovations of 2026 – America the Beautiful
Starting January 1, 2026, the annual pass fee for U.S. national parks will increase from
$80 to $250 for non-U.S. residents.
The pass is valid per vehicle (or two bikes - but only from 2026!) in parks with
vehicle-related entry – a pass thus covers all travelers in the vehicle / on a
Motorcycle off.
In den 11 ausgewiesenen „High-Volume“-Nationalparks fällt der Zusatzbetrag von 100
USD pro Person nur dann an, wenn kein Jahrespass vorhanden ist. Mit einem gültigen
Jahrespass entfällt dieser Zuschlag vollständig für alle Insassen / Passagiere des
jeweiligen Fahrzeugs.
Affected national parks (currently):
• Acadia National Park, Maine
• Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah
• Everglades National Park, Florida
• Glacier National Park, Montana
• Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona
• Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming
• Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado
• Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park, California
• Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
• Yosemite National Park, California
• Zion National Park, Utah
Jahrespässe, die noch in 2025 zum Preis von 80,- USD gekauft wurden,
behalten ihre Gültigkeit auch im Jahr 2026 – unabhängig vom Aufenthaltsstatus des
Besuchers (Ersparnis von 170 USD aufgrund der Preiserhöhung). Reisende mit bereits
gebuchten 2026-Reisen sollten den Pass vor Jahresende erwerben.
Achtung! Hier gilt aber noch – pro Bike ein Ausweis .
