The most important innovations of 2026 – America the Beautiful
Starting January 1, 2026, the annual pass fee for U.S. national parks will increase from
$80 to $250 for non-U.S. residents.
The pass is valid per vehicle (or two bikes - but only from 2026!) in parks with
vehicle-related entry – a pass thus covers all travelers in the vehicle / on a
Motorcycle off.
The additional amount of 100 is allocated to the 11 designated „high-volume“ national parks
USD per person only then on if no annual pass is available. With a valid
This surcharge is completely waived for all occupants / passengers of the annual pass
respective vehicle.
Affected national parks (currently):
• Acadia National Park, Maine
• Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah
• Everglades National Park, Florida
• Glacier National Park, Montana
• Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona
• Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming
• Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado
• Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park, California
• Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
• Yosemite National Park, California
• Zion National Park, Utah
Annual passes purchased in 2025 for USD 80,
They will remain valid in 2026 – regardless of the residence status of the
Visitors (savings of USD 170 due to the price increase). Travelers with already
Booked trips in 2026 should purchase the passport before the end of the year.
Attention! However, here one ID card still applies – per bike.
